Depths of Vanalf is the first book of an epic fantasy book series inspired by Scandinavian folklore, The Witcher, and D&D. It's set on an island called Avskild, the last fragment of human civilization that hasn't been destroyed or enslaved.
The shield around the island of Avskild is the only thing keeping it safe from the hordes of monsters that have taken over the world, and it has held for two-hundred years. But when monsters start showing up on the island, it appears the shield has been compromised.
